Great news! Today we have exchanged on our UK home which means we are set to complete and move at the end of June 2019. Our son is 18 and preparing for his A level examinations. He has accepted a place at university to study Biology and is working hard to get the results he needs.
Meanwhile were putting all of the logistics of moving together including our new French business MM&B FR. We work on web development projects with UK, Europe, and US clients. Our good friend David who’s a local Buxton lad heads up the UK based design studio for MM&B Buxton.
It’s been a sunny Easter bank holiday weekend and what better way to prepare for our French Farmhouse than getting out in the sunshine sharing food and wine with friends and family while also restoring a farmhouse outdoor lantern to guide us home,
Donated by my in-laws, Mum and Dad Mason never fail to surprise us! Their home is a triumph of ongoing dedication to restoring their Surrey farmhouse and barns. You could say it’s part of Simon’s fabric to live-in and restore a farmhouse.
The little outdoor lantern is to be treasured. It looks as good as new with some careful wire brushing, a gentle scrub, a polish and a thin coating of Black Zebo. Once dried I’ll mask the glass and spray matt black to protect and seal the finish.
